Coaching in the Workplace

WORKPLACE COACHING

The combination of using coaching models with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy implies you will have an experiential and evidence-based form of behavioural coaching. The skill-based element of ACT makes these interventions very suitable for coaching in the workplace.

As a Level 5 ILM accredited life coach, I have the relevant qualification to provide coaching services in the workplace.

I am also part a team of coaches within the UK that deliver tailored workplace strategy coaching sessions for neurodiverse individuals (e.g. dyslexia, ADHD, ASD) and people with chronic health conditions (e.g. migraines, chronic fatique syndrome, Parkinson, strokes). Our aim is to help these individuals develop practical techniques and strategies to more effectively deal with any barriers or challenges they may be face at work. Our coaching in the workplace has recently been recognised during the ESRA Employability Awards 2022. Our team “demonstrated exceptional commitment in supporting jobseekers with disabilities and health conditions to achieve sustained employment“.

INDIVIDUAL WORKSHOPS

I deliver individual workshops which are tailored for organisations. This can be face-to-face or remoteley via Teams or Zoom.

I collaborated with Nick to provide a workshop for my organisation, and we were really pleased with the result!Nick was easy to communicate with, is very grounded and humble, and delivered a world-class workshop to my department. I definitely hope to work with Nick again in the future, and I would recommend him to anyone.

What a refreshing and effective approach. Nick has the ability to engage and connect with everyone and guide them to some positive insight on themselves. His supportive sessions provide new skills that can be applied to assist in all walks of life. We would definitely recommend this service.

TRAINING PROGRAMMES

Bespoke staff training programmes are ideal for organisations that are looking for an evidence-based way of increasing employee wellbeing and resilience over a more sustained period of time. Training programmes are typically broken into 4 to 6 sessions, spread out over 2 to 3 months time.

Such a programme will give your employees:

A VOICE

By dedicating sessions to your workforce led by an independent coach you give them a safe and non-judgemental platform to potentially open up and share concerns. This in itself can be invaluable experience.

SELF-CARE

You make a commitment to allocate training time for staff wellbeing. Time which is spend to promote their mental health, resilience, self-care and reflection; contributing leading to improved work satisfaction and retention and overall lower sick rates.

SKILLS

Techniques that help them more helpfully respond to when stress and anxiety shows up at work (as it inevitably will). Skills to better focus their attention on what really matters to them in work so they can provide a better service. Skills to better look after themselves.

IDENTITY

An increased sense of belonging. Your workforce will more consciously decide how they want to behave at work, how to interact with each other and their service users. They can then use this to guide their actions on a day-to-day basis.
Because these training programmes are spread out over a longer time period, our aim is to make sure the techniques and skills learned will not fade away over time. Instead, these skills are there to last. Even after the training programme is completed. This is important to us.

USING BEHAVIOURAL SCiENCE

Motivation to change is ususally high during our sessions, but what actually happens outside of it?

PsychFlex is an evidence-based app that supports your employees outside the training sessions. As we cannot be certain whether anyone will follow through with their exercises and apply what they have learned in the training programmes.

By integrating PsychFlex into our staff training programmes we can extend our reach to your employees. We can send individual and personalised psychological techniques and resources to your employees via the app. This can be anything: videos, links, audio files, text, images. It's fully customisable and it's directly linked to the content of the workshops and the context your employees are facies. By giving 24/7 access to the resources, we are making it more likely that employees will retain and continue to practise these psychological skills in-between training sessions and after the programme has come to an end.
